Georgia Still Behind On US Census

The 2020 Census has faced numerous challenges during this decade’s constitutionally-mandated count. Despite these challenges, the U.S. Census Bureau has counted nearly 81.1% of Georgia’s households and 89.4% nationwide.  As of September 10, the Census Bureau estimates it will need to visit 56 million addresses nationwide to achieve an accurate and complete count. The self-response rate in Atlanta is 57.3%.

Small Plane From Northwest Georgia Found In Northeast Alabama

Helicopters and ground crews searched Friday for a small airplane that went missing in Alabama during a flight between Georgia and Mississippi.  According to reports, the plane left from Calhoun, Georgia on Thursday, headed for Tupelo, Mississippi.
