Georgia gas prices decreased slightly at the pump compared to a week ago. Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $1.99 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. Monday’s state average was 1 cent less than a week ago, same as last month, and 60 cents less than this time last year.
A Summerville woman reported a stolen vehicle last week. The complainant said that the vehicle was in a vacant lot on Blake Street when it was taken.
Trion City Schools has confirmed that one football player has tested positive for COVID-19. According to Athletic Director, Jason Lanham, Trion’s head football Coach Sean Patrick sent out information to other players and students on Monday afternoon. Lanham says, “Very limited chance of exposure to anyone else at this point.”

A Sunday afternoon accident killed a forty-one-year-old Trion man. The accident happened between Little Caesar’s Pizza and Lake Wanda Reita Road. The Georgia State Patrol released the following report on Monday:

Vibrant Communities Grants support variety of arts programming opportunities, including those online due to COVID-19, and Cultural Facilities grants support the restoration or renovation of a building to be used for arts programming.
