Sheriff’s Department Investigates Damage At Home Under Construction

Earlier this week, the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call on Tate Road after a complainant said that someone had cut the electrical wires throughout a house that was under construction.  The complainant said that the whole house had to be rewired.  The house had damage to sheet rock throughout, as multiple holes had to be made in the sheet rock in order to find all the damage.  The complainant estimated that the damage would cost between $5,000 and $8,000.  The incident is under investigation.

Redmond Regional Medical Center was awarded an ‘A’ in the spring 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Redmond’s achievements providing safer health care. The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety. The Safety Grade is a letter grade assigned to all general hospitals across the country and updated every six months, assessing how well the hospital prevents medical errors and other harms to patients.

Georgia Department Of Public Health Makes Change To COVID-19 Reporting Guidelines

Georgia DOT: Old Highway 337 Closed Beginning Monday for Bridge Replacement

The Georgia Department of Transportation says that, weather permitting, the Old Highway 337 Bridge over Chelsea Creek will be closed starting this coming Monday, May 4th as crews replace the old bridge.  A detour has been set up. For traffic traveling south, vehicles will turn left on to Hair Lake Road and then right on to County Road 318. Motorists will then follow Sunnydale Road to Agnew Road and back to Old Highway 337.
