An early work of world-renowned folk artist Rev. Howard Finster will be auctioned in the upcoming days and proceeds from that auction will benefit a Chattooga County church.

Former correctional officer Michael L. Jones, a resident of Chattooga County, pleaded guilty to accepting bribes to provide prison inmates with methamphetamine, marijuana, and tobacco, all of which were destined to be smuggled into Floyd County Correctional Institution (“FCCI”) in Rome, Georgia.
