The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office has worked a number of car vs. deer accidents over the past couple of weeks.

Summerville City Council Regular Council meetings, are scheduled for the 2nd Monday of the month. Chattooga County and the town of Lyerly, City of Menlo, City of Summerville and Town of Trion have joined together to complete a joint Comprehensive Plan.

Chattooga County 4-H will be partnering with DIRT Design & Decor to host a Tomato Cage Christmas: DIY Christmas Tree Workshop. This workshop will be held at DIRT and has limited availability. The event will take place on December 7th at 6:30 and will cost $30. Participants will be given all materials needed to create their very own tomato cage Christmas tree, as well as instructions on how to complete the project in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Registration ends on Friday, December 6th. Here is the latest arrest report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office for Saturday, November 7, 2020:

Summerville Police were called to the Dollar General Store on Commerce Street earlier this week after a clerk at the store reported a shoplifting incident. When police arrived on the scene the clerk told them that Kevin Alphonso Boykin, age 47, had taken a 52 oz. bottle of lemonade without paying. Boykin was charged with theft by shoplifting in connection with the incident.

Chattooga Young Farmers attended the North Region Caucus on Thursday evening in Dawsonville, Georgia. The North Region award winners were announced at the caucus. The Chattooga County Young Farmers chapter was named the North Region winner for Outstanding Chapter.
