The Rome City Alcohol Control Commission has requested owners of Giggity’s sports bar appear before them next week.
Stacey Abrams has officially not conceded the race for Georgia Governor but has ended her run in a conference earlier Friday evening.
Abrams will still file lawsuits to challenge ‘gross mismanagement’ of Georgia elections.
Each Georgia County had until 5 p.m. this evening to certify the Governer Race results.
As of Friday morning, Brian Kemp was still in the lead with 50.22% of the votes, Stacey Abrams with 48.83% and Ted Metz with 0.93%.

Great seasons of high school football came to an end last night for both the Trion Bulldogs and Chattooga Indians.
Following up on narrowly-won games last week, both teams took losses with sizable margins. The Bulldogs fell to Schley County 40-13, scoring all 13 points in the last quarter. Rabun County beat Chattooga 34-0, with the clock let run in the last quarter.

Nevertheless, last night punctuates strong seasons for both teams.Both teams won effectively all of their rivalry games, and they played consistently throughout the whole season.
The Indians finished 9-3 overall, the Bulldogs 8-4.

The Bulldogs and the Indians will both be fighting for a place in the Final Eight in their respective brackets tonight. They’ll each take on their own set of wildcats: Chattooga (9-2) will face off against the Rabun County Wildcats (10-1), and Trion (8-3) will play the Schley County Wildcats (8-2).
County schools superintendent Jimmy Lenderman signed a proclamation at last night’s Board of Education meeting in recognition of county substitute teachers.
The proclamation declared today, November 16th, 2018, “Substitute Teacher Appreciation Day” at all county-wide schools.
