A weekend auto accident led to a drug arrest over the weekend in Lafayette.

On Saturday police responded to an accident on North Chattanooga Street and found the 27 year old driver, standing beside his overturned Ford Focus; the vehicle had traveled around 150 feet from where it had left the roadway in the 1400 block of the street and was upside down in a ditch.

According to reports David Henry Jordy refused treatment; a blood sample was taken after it was noticed that the man had slurred speech. Jordy was charged with DUI/Drugs, Driving on a Suspended License and Failure to Maintain Lane.
