Chattooga County Radio reported an accident on Highway 27 that occurred on Monday. According to reports obtained from the Georgia State Patrol post in Rome, Alexander Wilson of Summerville was attempting to make an improper turn into the Wildlife Food Mart to get some sunflower seeds. There is a “no left turn” and a “do not enter” sign posted at the intersection in front of the store. As he was attempting to make the improper turn his 2004 Hyundai was struck by a 1990 Mercury driven by Carla Ann Jennings.
On Tuesday morning shortly after 6:00 a.m. a single car accident occurred on the Gore-Subligna Road. According to reports the accident resulted in serious injuries to Darlyn Willerson, the driver of the car who was air lifted by Lifeforce to a Chattanooga Hospital. An incindent report by the Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome is still not available.
