Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin alerts consumers to the recall of a “fry-easy all-purpose batter” being recalled for an egg ingredient not listed on the product label.
McCormick & Company, Inc., Sparks, MD, is recalling its Golden Dipt® Fry Easy All-Purpose Batter. It is distributed in a 10-ounce package that has the 4123470111 UPC Code and the NOV 17 11 AH “BEST BY” date. The product identification information is printed on the bottom of the carton in white ink.
The product is being recalled because it contains an egg ingredient not shown on the product’s label. Persons who have an allergy to egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product.
This recall is isolated to product distributed in the southeastern U. S. beginning nearly 11 months ago, Jan. 22, 2010.
Consumers who have the product should contact the McCormick Consumer Affairs Team at (800) 632-5846 for full refund or replacement. The recalled item does not have to be returned to place of purchase
