The Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and the Friends of the Park will premiere the new Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center film “The Campaign for Chattanooga: Death Knell of the Confederacy.”

The new 26-minute historical film provides an overview of the Campaign for Chattanooga examines the city’s importance during the Civil War and details the struggle to control strategic Chattanooga. The film will premiere at the Majestic Theater in downtown Chattanooga on Oct. 29, with showings at 5:45 and 7 p.m.

The film details the Battle of Chickamauga, the siege of Chattanooga and the Battles for Chattanooga (Orchard Knob, Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge).
