A felony burglary was reported at a Bea Drive, Summerville, address on Tuesday. According to the report by the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office forced entry to the residence was made through a door leading from the garage, with so much force it busted the door, splintering the door casing and locks. The inside door trim also was broken off the wall and was lying on the floor just inside the doorway. The owner told deputies he and his wife had left just after 7 a.m. that day and didn't return home until just before 1 p.m. Items taken were valued at $430. according to the report. The burglary was turned over to investigators.
