Becky Duke celebrated 48 years at the Chattooga County Probate Office on Tuesday.  She came to work at the office in 1976 for Judge Jon Payne.  She has continued to serve the residents of Chattooga County for nearly five decades.
In August of 2020, Becky Duke was sworn in as Associate Probate Judge while Judge Payne was hospitalized after he contracted COVID-19.  After the death of Judge Payne, she became acting Probate Judge until Judge Gary Woods was sworn into office in 2021.

On Tuesday, Judge Woods posted on social media, “Becky came to work in the Probate office on February 6, 1976. Today marks her 48th year. She is a true example of a Christian with a servants heart. Becky is a great asset to our county! She has been a mentor to me and most of all a dear friend. Thank you for your service to the citizens of Chattooga County!”.
