Berry College junior Jordan Cole has been awarded the Aflac Nursing Scholarship.

The scholarship of $2,500 is to support educational expenses associated with enrollment in a nursing undergraduate or graduate program. Candidates also had to write a statement regarding their professional goals in becoming a nurse and include their community service, service to the profession, awards and honors and future professional goals.

The scholarship is awarded through the Georgia Independent College Association. Each private college in Georgia nominates one eligible nursing student to be considered for the award.
