Summerville Main Street Director Susan Locklear said:
Congratulations to Mrs. Beth Pelham for receiving a “Friend of The Community” award! Beth Pelham serves as the Trion Elementary Principal. She is admired by many, including her staff. Here are a few quotes from the nominations for Mrs. Pelham. “ Beth Pelham is the perfect example of a leader. She leads the school with care, compassion, and understanding. She puts the students’ needs for love, well-being and education first, while she also she is also the first to help with whatever a student and teacher may need, even if it puts herself out. She makes a positive impact on over 750+ students and teachers every day and lights up every classroom with her smile and unending kindness.” Keep up the wonderful work that you do Mrs. Pelham! You are making a positive difference in our community and it matters!! More awards coming throughout this week!
Mrs Katee Harris was awarded the “Friend of The Community” award today! Katee (Kathryn), works as the Guidance Counsellor at Menlo Elementary primarily, but she is also a paediatric chaplain, a full time mom and a volunteer/helping hand in many projects. Here are a few quotes from the nominations – “ Katee always has a smile, an encouraging word or a patient ear for whomever needs it. She ceaselessly gives of herself for everyone and tries to help everyone. I don’t know how she gets everything that she does done and still keeps going for her family and her jobs and still keeps “pouring” from her cup. Katee is such an amazing person and while she would never ask or place herself in the spotlight, she is, in my humble opinion, truly deserving of this award!” Congratulations Katee! Keep up the good work. It matters!!! More Awards Coming This Week!
Congratulations to Tiffany Nix, another of our local recipients of the “Friend of The Community” award! Tiffany is employed by Circle K on Hwy 114, where she serves our community through customer service. Nominations for Tiffany are quoted as saying “Tiffany has such a positive attitude and can always be found with a smile on her face. She shows kindness to her customers and is always willing to help them any way that she possibly can. She can make your day when you stop in.” Keep up the good work Tiffany! Kindness Matters! More Awards To Come All This Week Leading Up To Friendship Festival!
