Georgia Agricultural Commissioner Gary Black has announced his intentions to run for United States Senate in 2022 and has been putting together his campaign in all 159 counties across Georgia.

Black is a three-time Agricultural Commissioner and has built a wide base of support across the state.  Black says that he is running to undo what he calls the “regressive” politics of Georgia’s current United State Senators.

In a campaign statement  on Wednesday, Black said “People are realizing that we (Republicans) are strong and numerous and constitute a majority in Georgia. We are hungry to take back the U.S. Senate ”

Locally, Commissioner Black has selected Jamye Dawson as his campaign coordinator for Chattooga County.  Mr. Dawson owns Triple J Logging and has ran for sheriff on the Republican ticket in the past.  He also serves on the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair Council.
