Residents of Chattooga, Gordon, Walker and Floyd Counties in Georgia and from DeKalb and Cherokee Counties in Alabama are encouraged to enter items for blue ribbon judging starting today.

If you want to enter arts, photography, needlework or food preservation items, those items will be accepted, starting this afternoon from 2 PM until 6 PM.  You will also have an opportunity to enter those items on Tuesday from 9 AM until 1 PM.  Take your entries to the Chattooga County Ag Building where fair volunteers will be set up to receive your items.  The blue ribbon department at the fair is overseen by the Chattooga County Extension Office.

You man have someone else drop your items off for you, as long as they have your name, address and phone number for the entry.

Each category in the blue ribbon department is broken down by age classification and you may enter items in as many different categories as you wish.

You can find all the rules for the blue ribbon department on the fair’s website at www.chattoogafair.com .
