The GBI Crime Lab has positively identified the body found last Friday behind GB&T Bank off May Street in Calhoun as Roy G. Brown of Cobb County.

He was reported missing on Dec 24th.

Brown was last seen at his home in Cobb County at around 3:30am that day.

Brown had planned to be gone approximately 30 minutes but never returned.

A friend had spoken to Brown by phone about 30 minutes later and that was the last contact anyone had with him.

On January 2 Brown’s vehicle was found abandoned in the parking lot of the Rite Aid drug store located at 910 South Wall Street in Calhoun.

A cause of death has yet to be determined.
