Officials in Walker County are investigating the discovery of a body that was found near Rock City on Lookout Mountain.  The badly decomposed body was found about 1000 feet below the popular area known as “Lovers Leap”.  Walker County Coroner Dewayne Wilson believes that the body is that of a man and that the body may have been there for up to a year.  According to reports there were no signs of trauma.  The body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab.  Assisting the Walker County Coroner in the investigation are the Walker County Sheriffs Department, The National Park Service and the GBI.
