According to Calhoun Police Chief Tony Pyle, a body was discovered on December 17th in the area behind Dollar General on Curtis Parkway.

Gordon County Deputy Coroner Jonathan Pressley has stated the body has been identified as 49-year-old Troy Jefferson of Calhoun.

According to Pressley, Jefferson is believed to have succumbed to natural causes; no foul play is expected.
