A judge denied a motion for bond for a man accused of severely beating his four-month-old child and attempting to keep his wife from reporting the crime. Cesar Alejandro Lopez Sr. was arrested earlier this month and is charged with felony aggravated battery and cruelty to children in the first degree as well as false imprisonment.  Reportedly, the mother found the baby after she came home for work and found that child had been severely injured.  The child was first taken to an emergency room in Rome and then to Scottish Right in Atlanta.  Lopez’s defense attorney said there is discrepancies in the story surrounding how the child was injured, but a Floyd County Superior Court Judge denied bond for Lopez this past week. ]
