The Hamilton County, TN sheriff’s office has announced that a hunter recently stumbled upon what appear to be human bones.

According to the sheriff’s office’s press release, the hunter found said bones on Friday in a field near Boy Scout Rd just outside of Hixson.

A thorough investigation began right away; detectives are working alongside the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The news release further states that updates on the investigation will be released when possible.
