Early this week, Chattooga County deputies were called to Kay Drive. A man living on Kay Drive told officers that someone had kicked in his door, and he had a suspect in mind. A neighbor to the homeowner told both the homeowner and deputies that she had a conversation with a man that said he would "kick [the homeowner's] door in and cut his throat."
She told deputies that she and the cable man down the road saw the suspect kicking the door in and going in and out of the house. The homeowner saw that the couches were moved away from the walls as if someone had been searching for something. The homeowner did not notice anything missing from his home.
The neighbor to the homeowner said the suspect's cause for breaking in was that he was thought the homeowner broke into his friend's house and was upset. The suspect was contacted and stated that he did not know anything about the situation.
