The matchup between two evenly matched teams, both entering with identical 2-3 records, lived up to expectations from the opening whistle. Trion, boasting a slightly higher offensive output on the season, wasted no time establishing their presence on the field. Both squads exchanged early blows, setting the tone for the evening.

By halftime, the Bulldogs had built a comfortable 21-12 lead, seemingly poised to control the remainder of the game. However, the Manchester Blue Devils demonstrated remarkable resilience, mounting a significant comeback in the second half. Their effort paid off, forcing a tie score of 24-24 at the conclusion of the fourth quarter.

In the extra period, Trion’s Bulldogs once again showcased their grit and determination. They managed to break the tie and ultimately seal the win with a final score of 32-24.

The victory was made even sweeter by the crowning of Joce Mitchell as the 2025 Trion Homecoming Queen. She was celebrated on the field, with Emma Martz named 1st Runner Up and Allie Hudgins taking home 2nd Runner Up honors.
