The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that took place on Saturday of last week.
The burglary was reported on Cemetery Road in Lyerly. The complainant told a responding deputy that someone had broken into his outbuilding and had stole a circular saw valued at $100.
The complainant’s house was also broken into. The responding deputy reported seeing damage to the side-entry door to the house. Several items were taken inside the home, including a computer monitor, a gaming system and a gaming head set.
Someone who had come to mow the grass at the house alerted the complainant that his gate had been left open.
The burglary was turned over to an investigator.
