The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary in Lyerly.   The incident was reported on Sunday of this week.

According to a report from the sheriff’s office, a resident on North Chattooga Avenue told a responding deputy that when she returned home from Rome around 3 PM on Sunday afternoon after having been gone since Tuesday, she found that her back door was open.

A flat scree television and a window unit were missing from the residence, along with some jewelry.

The incident has been turned over to an investigator.
