An Atlanta investment firm is set to purchase the former Dixie Dye location in the Trion Industrial Park.
The company is PJAL Investments, but the company’s intentions for the location isn’t clear at this time. According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s registration, the principal agent for PJAL investments is Bruce McCall of Atlanta and the investment company was only recently formed in February of this year. It is speculated that the new owners will utilize the building in the flooring industry. Dixie Dye produced specialty fibers at the 106,000 square feet facility.
Dixie Dye ceased production at the facility last year after investing $19 million in the plant. At the time the plant began production, then Trion Mayor Larry Stansell told WZQZ News that the plant was the “anchor-tenant” at the town’s industrial park.
