The Georgia State Patrol arrested a Calhoun man on Monday of this week and charged him with driving under the influence and drug charges.

Tony Lamar Elkins, age 54 of Calhoun, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Monday by the Georgia State Patrol and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, following too closely, drugs to be kept in original container, and possession of a Schedule III drug.

Elkins remained in jail Tuesday evening.
