The Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition is teaming up with the 100 Black Men of Rome-Northwest Georgia for the 22^nd annual Health Initiative for Men & Women, set for Saturday, August 17^th from 8 am to noon at the Floyd County Health Department, 16 East 12^th Street in Rome. Erin Hernandez, President and CEO of the Coalition, says that the event will feature screenings, vendors, refreshments, and educational opportunities.

Hernandez asserts that the health screenings that will be offered at the event could potentially save lives, as early detection is key to recovery from cancer and other health concerns.
