The Georgia State Fire Marshal says that a burning candle was to blame for a fire that took place on Saturday night and took the life of a Summerville man.

Summerville Fire fighters responded to a call of a house fire on Highland Avenue at the intersection of Ira Pollard Drive around 9:45 PM on Saturday.  They found the house engulfed and entered and found the body of a victim inside.  The owner of the house said that he had problems with someone entering the house in the past.

On Sunday officials released the name of the victim, fifty-two-year-old Timothy Allen Brown.  Officials believe that Brown was using a candle for light inside the abandoned structure, and that candle caused the fire.
