A candlelight vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. today in honor of 21-year-old Rebecca Lorraine Foley who was shot and killed in Savannah Monday. The vigil will be at Chattooga High School where Foley graduated in 2009, according to CHS Principal Jeff Martin.

She became that city’s first murder victim of 2013. She was shot in her car outside of her apartment complex around 7 p.m. The Savannah Morning News is reporting that police officers found Foley on the ground outside of her vehicle but it was unknown how she got there.

Foley was a JV cheerleader in the tenth grade and was on the scholar bowl that same year.
