A car left in the Ingles parking lot for several hours was found to be damaged upon the owners return.

Late last week, Officers met with Jacob McDonald in regards to damage to his car. McDonald stated to Officers that he had met with family members around 8:30am in the Ingles parking lot and rode with them to court. He left his 2004 Jeep Liberty parked at the far end of the Ingles parking lot until about 1pm, when he returned. Starting the car he noticed it was making a strange noise and a closer inspection at home revealed damage to the exhaust. It appeared as if someone had tried to remove the exhaust, but was unable to do so.

A report was made and placed on file and McDonald told Officers he would call if he had any further information.
