Connect City Church in Summerville, GA, is launching Celebrate Recovery this Friday night (October 13th) at 6:00 with a meal, followed by worship at 7:00 and small groups at 8:00. CR is a Christ-centered program that helps people overcome their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. The program was started 25 years ago at Saddleback Church by showing people the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process and is now in over 29,000 churches worldwide. Various singers will be performing all day. Admission is free. Bring your lawn chairs and join the fellowship. Food will be available for sale. All proceeds go toward the park development.
Trion United Methodist Church, 17 DeForest Avenue, Trion, GA , 706-734-2802, will have their Brunswick Stew available Saturday, October 7, 2017 from around 10:30 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. It is still $7.00 per quart. You may pick up your stew in the fellowship hall. It will go fast and it is sold on a first come first serve basis.
