The November meeting for the Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce will feature Habitat for Humanity.  The faith-based, Christian organization’s local chapter serves Chattooga, Floyd and Polk Counties and builds houses for those who might not otherwise achieve the dream of home ownership.  Betsy Allgood with the Coosa Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will be the featured speaker.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14th at Noon at the Chattooga County Civic Center on Highway 48 in Summerville, across from Truist Bank.  Those planning to attend should RSVP. Summerville Main Street has scheduled their “Victorian Christmas” celebration in downtown Summerville for the first weekend in December.  The event will feature a live Nativity, live musical performances, contests and kids games and cookies and milk with Santa.   There will be a Christmas Market on the East Washington Streetscape and food, retail shopping and crafts in downtown Summerville.  The Summerville Victorian Christmas will be Saturday, December 2nd from 11 AM until 5 PM.

The Trion Recreation Department will be hosting their first Movie Night coming up on Monday, October 30th.  They will be showing “Hocus Pocus” and admission is free with plenty of concessions available.  The movie will start at 6:30 PM.

The SilverSneakers Class for Wednesday, October 18, 2023 has been cancelled.  Silver Sneakers will resume on October 25, 2023.
