Today is the last day of advance voting for Georgia’s two runoff elections at the county Registrar Office. It will be open to voters from 8:30 AM through 5 o’clock PM.
UPDATE: Chattooga County Extension Agent Rebecca Thomas says that the tickets for the second setting have all been sold. There are still tickets available for Breakfast with Santa for the first setting at 8:30 AM.
United By Faith Baptist Church has postponed their turkey and ham shoot scheduled for December 1st due to rainy weather.
The 2018 Cherokee County Christmas Parade is scheduled to kick off tonight (Thursday, November 29th) at 5 PM, with lineup for participants at 4 PM. This year’s theme is Christmas Lights, Winter Nights. For more information, the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce’s phone number is (256)-927-8455.

The 2018 City of Summerville Christmas Parade, to be held on Monday, December 3, at 7:00 p.m. This year’s parade theme is “A Small Town Christmas”.
A free community breakfast has been scheduled at Spring Creek Baptist Church at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. The breakfast will consist of bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, etc. They will also be giving away free coats to kids 12 and under while they last. The public is invited.
