The Chattooga County Republican Party will hold their monthly meeting coming up next Monday, November 5th at the Chattooga County Senior Center. Members, guests and the general public are invited and encouraged to attend.
Coming up Saturday, November 24th there will be a Cornhole Tournament at the Chattooga County Ag Center, located on Middle School Road in Summerville.
The Town of Trion is preparing for Veterans Day with the display of United States Flags and crosses honoring local veterans at the Trion Track Field. The Town has issued a statement asking people to abstain from playing sports on the track field during the next few weeks while the flags are on display honoring veterans. The Town of Trion says if you have any questions, please call the Trion Town Office at 706-734-2332.
The North Georgia Cruiser will be holding their final Cruise In for the year Saturday November 3rd from 11 to 3 at the Depot on East Washington Street. Come out and enjoy a day of fun, food and fellowship and help the Cruisers buy toys and help this area’s needy during the holidays…

On this Saturday, November 3rd, dress as royalty, fairies, pirates, and peasants while you enjoy shopping, art, games, and a feast fit for a king. The Summerville Renaissance Festival will return with pageantry, arts, music, dancing, artisans, theater, food, and more. Renaissance Performers from Georgia and Tennessee will be on hand to give festival goers a magical experience. Find King Henry the 8th, Fairy Grandmother, human gargoyles, and the King of the Trolls. The Renaissance Festival hours are from 11 AM – 5 PM.

Coming up Saturday, November 24th there will be a Cornhole Tournament at the Chattooga County Ag Center, located on Middle School Road in Summerville. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Special Olympics at Chattooga High School. Sign ups will start at 11 AM and the tournament will start at noon. The cost is $20 per team. Trophies will be awarded and are being donated by Chattooga Printing in Summerville.
Trion United Methodist Church will have their Brunswick Stew available the SECOND Saturday, November 10. It is still $7.00 per quart. The stew should be ready around 10:30 AM. You may pick the stew up in the fellowship hall before 1:00 p.m. The stew usually sells out, so it is sold on a first come, first serve basis. The church sends their thanks to all who support the stew project.
