A Cowboy Western Heritage Festival is coming to Summerville this Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, September 2. Summerville Main Street Manager Susan Locklear says that it will a great event full of entertainment, and will be free for the public to attend. Click ‘read more’ for more info on the event.
Commissioner Jason Winters will hold a public meeting on the controversial new pet and livestock ordinances today at his office on Commerce St. at 10 AM.

At a special called meeting this evening, the Summerville City Council will consider an ordinance to allow the sale of packaged alcohol on Sundays, as well as allowing the sale of alcohol by the drink in local restaurants on Sundays.

The last day of the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair will be free to the public on Sunday, Aug 27. It will feature gospel singing from several groups, and registration to sing is still open. Click ‘read more’ for more info on the fair and Sunday singing registration.
Summerville Middle School’s annual Title 1 Meeting will be held Thursday, August 31 from 5:00-5:15. Open House will follow from 5:15 until 6:30. All parents are encouraged to attend both events. Make sure to ask about attendance incentives this year.
