Mobile hotspots allow you to access the Internet wherever you go. Thanks to partial funds from the Library Services and Technology Act through the Institute of Museum and Library Services, patrons of the Chattooga County Library can check out a mobile hotspot for FREE with their library card. These hotspots check out for seven (7) days with no renewals. Patrons must be 18 years or older and sign a Statement of Responsibility before checking out the hotspot.  Visit the library in Trion or Summerville to find out more information.

In honor of World Animal Day (October 4th), United Community Bank in Summerville and Trion is collecting supplies such as dog and cat food to donate to the Chattooga County Animal Shelter.  If you want to make a monetary donation, the bank will accept checks made payable to the Chattooga County Animal Shelter.  The donations will be accepted now through October 8th.
