The Lyerly Civic Club is selling $1 raffle tickets for a Christmas Quilt that was made by Carolyn Johnston. The Lyerly Civic Club says that all of the proceeds of the raffle will go to the Lyerly Civic Club Scholarship Fund. The Lyerly Civic Club gives scholarships to graduation seniors from Lyerly. Tickets for the quilt can be purchased at Lyerly Town Hall or from Lyerly Civic Club members. The drawing will be held on September 26, 2020.
Hope for the Hungry will be at North Summerville Baptist Church Thursday Aug. 27th from 10 to 1. Please remain in your vehicle and food will be loaded for you.

Animal Advocates of Chattooga County will have donated cat and dog food available to the public this Saturday, August 8th, from 11 am to 2 pm (as long as supplies last). This food is free to families in need. The location is Connect City Church on Hwy 48 next to BB&T bank. Animal Advocates says, “We apologize we are not able to provide our on-going pet food bank at this time.”
North Summerville Baptist Church will be giving away free fruit and vegetables Thursday August 6th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm while supplies last. One food box per family. This is drive through so please remain in your vehicles and the food will be loaded for you.
Connect City Church will be having a back to school bash this Sunday and Kona Ice will be in our parking lot open to the public from 12-2 We invite anyone from the community who would like to come get a snow cone to come and beat the heat with us!! While practicing Good Social Distancing!
Unfortunately it has been decided by the Chattooga County Library that since we will not be able to have the annual Royal Ball in the foreseeable future, it will be cancelled for this year. It is most regrettable and we do humbly apologize. Please bring your tickets to the librar
