Menlo Elementary School will once again hold their annual Veterans Day ceremony at the school this coming Thursday. Veterans Day is held each year on November 11th. It marks the day World War One ended, at 11 AM on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918.

Summerville Main Street and the Summerville-Trion Optimist Club are teaming up to bring you two annual events on one day to coincide with the City of Summerville’s date to celebrate Halloween.
The Summerville Recreation Center will begin registration for BASKETBALL on Monday, October 18th, and will continue through Saturday, November 13th. There is a $10.00 registration fee for city residents and a $25.00 fee for county participants.
