Loretta Lynn, the Kentucky coal miner’s daughter whose frank songs about life and love as a woman in Appalachia pulled her out of poverty and made her a pillar of country music, has died. She was 90.
During a concert held this past Saturday, August 6, in Sharpsburg, Kentucky, Country Music Hall of Fame group ALABAMA donated $25,000 to aid those affected by the recent flooding in the Bluegrass State.

As a result, the following Travis Tritt shows have been canceled: Muncie, Indiana on Oct. 23, Philadelphia, Mississippi on November 6, Peoria, Illinois on Nov 11 and Louisville, Kentucky on Nov. 13.
