Rep. Greene Co-Sponsors AM Radio In Every Vehicle Resolution

U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene announced on Friday that she is co-sponsoring House Resolution 3413, also known as “AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act”.  Rep. Greene says that AM radio is vital in times of emergency.  Greene says, “When all other services are unavailable, and the power is out, a car’s AM radio is a lifeline. There is no alternative that has the reach and resiliency of AM radio stations, a service that is free to all listeners and doesn’t require a subscription, data plan, or other fees. More than 80 million Americans regularly listen to AM radio and six in 10 radio fans even cited the lack of cost as one of the top two drivers for tuning in”.  Rep. Jaycee Lynne To Perform At The Depot Today

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum double-engine steam passenger train will be rolling into the Summerville Depot today, and the City of Summerville has a full day of events planned.  The city is hosting a chili and Brunswick stew cook-off.  The public can purchase $5 wristbands and sample all of the stew and chili, and vote for the Peoples Choice Awards.  The teams of stew and chili makers will be competing for a top prize of $500.  Also, the Chattooga County Historical Society will have the historic Couey House open for visitors today for a look back into the history of some of Chattooga County’s earliest settlers.  Music will be a part of today’s activities as well, with Nashville-based Jaycee Lynne performing.  You can read more about Jaycee Lynne’s music below:
