Woman Charged With Public Intoxication

A forty-seven-year-old Summerville woman was charged with public intoxication on Saturday. Summerville Police say Kimberly Joyce Perry was staggering when they saw her in the Highway 48 area. Perry had an open bottle of vodka in her possession when she was arrested.

North Georgia Cruisers To Host Car Show In September

The North Georgia Cruisers will be hosting a car show at the Chattooga County Ag Building, located at 33 Middle School Road in Summerville coming up on Saturday, September 2, 2023.  Registration will be held from 8 AM – Noon.  There will be door prizes, swap-meets and the first 100 cars receive dash plaques.  Also, there will be a money tree and a $500 grand-prize giveaway.  The North Georgia Cruisers use the funds from the car show to support programs for children and others in need in Chattooga County.
