Rome Murder Suspect Arrested In Ohio

Rome Police say that thirty-three-year-old Floydell Quinchard Smith is in custody.  He is the suspect in the murder of a thirty-year-old man, Te’Vian Markez Williams on June 27 at a Rome apartment complex.  U.S. Marshall’s tracked Smith with the assistance of tips and information from the public.  Smith was arrested in Dayton, Ohio.  He was booked into the Montgomery County, Ohio Jail and is awaiting extradition back to Floyd County.

A store clerk at the Borderline Quick Stop in Chattoogaville reported shots fired to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office last week.  The store is located near the Cherokee County, Alabama line south of Lyerly.
