A cluster of thunderstorms is predicted to move across Central and portions of North Georgia throughout the day. While not all storms will be severe, some could pack a punch, capable of producing damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall. The forecast for today indicates a 40% chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 10 AM. Conditions will be mostly cloudy with a high near 82 degrees. Winds will be calm, becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. The chance of thunderstorms continues into tonight, mainly before 7:00 PM, with a 30% probability of precipitation. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a low around 62 degrees and calm wind. Looking ahead, the stormy weather pattern is expected to persist. Periods of thunderstorms are forecast between Monday and Wednesday, with the greatest storm coverage anticipated across North Georgia. The National Weather Service emphasizes that a few of these storms could be strong to severe during the daytime hours on Monday and Tuesday.
