Newnan Man Charged With Marijuana Possession

A thirty-two-year-old Coweta County man was charged with marijuana possession and DUI for drugs in the early morning hours of Wednesday.  Summerville Police stopped William Brandon Keheley of Newnan, Georgia at a service station on Commerce Street in Summerville around 4 AM.  Officers found a green leafy substance, wrapped in cellophane and Keheley admitted to the substance being marijuana.  He was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on misdemeanor marijuana possession and driving under the influence charges.

CHS Band Teams Up With McDonald’s For Fundraiser

The Chattooga High School Band along with Jim Aaron and your Summerville McDonald’s have teamed up for a hotcake fundraiser that will be held this Saturday from 8 AM – 11 AM.  The cost is $5 and includes all you can eat hotcakes, along with a sausage patty and coffee or tea.  Proceeds will go to the Chattooga High School Band.  Make plans to support the CHS Band this Saturday at your Summerville McDonald’s.

Miss Menlo Pageant April 14th

Registration for the Miss Menlo pageant is underway.  The pageant will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 4 PM at the Menlo Elementary School Gym.  There are different age categories (See below) and categories for most photogenic, prettiest hair, prettiest smile, and prettiest eyes.  Contestants must be a student at Menlo school, a sibling or relative of a student at Menlo school, related to a staff member at Menlo school, or live in the Menlo area. Rehearsal is April 14th from 6-7:30pm in the gym.

AAA: 41% Of Georgians Plan To Travel For Spring Break

Travel bookings for 2023 are off to a very strong start and that is reflected in a new survey from AAA. According to the Auto Club Group, 87% of Georgians plan to travel this year. That’s significantly higher than 56% in 2022.
