
Summerville Police are investigating a reported theft of $800 from a residence on Espy Street last Friday. According to the police report, officers were dispatched to the home after a complaint was filed by Terrell Ammons. Ammons stated that he noticed the money, which he kept in a pouch, was missing when he went to pay his power bill around 4 PM. Upon returning home, he confirmed the money was gone. The victim reported that the only other person in the residence prior to his departure was an in-home health care worker who was cleaning the house. Authorities are looking into a woman identified as an employee of an in-home health care service as a potential suspect. The missing money is described as $800 in U.S. currency. The Summerville Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident.
