Shaw Plant 67 In LaFayette Donates To Local Back To School Bash

The Chattooga County community is excitedly preparing for the Back to School Bash next Thursday. With strong backing from local groups, businesses, and volunteers, the event aims to celebrate students’ return to school and provide essential supplies for the year ahead. Maisha Ludy, coordinator for Chattooga Family Connection, expressed gratitude for the community’s support, sharing that Shaw Plant 67 in LaFayette is covering all colored pencils and dividers needed, bringing the event closer to its supply goal. Now, the focus is on obtaining 369 Expo markers to fully meet their supply needs. The Bash will not only provide supplies but also promote unity among families and community members, fostering support for students as they start a new school year. The event is open to both Trion and Chattooga students. Local churches, businesses, and organizations are all contributing. With the event just days away, there is growing enthusiasm for a memorable gathering. To help with the remaining marker donations or to learn about other ways to participate, the community can reach out to Maisha Ludy at 706-388-9849. The main goal is to ensure every student in Chattooga County has a successful and exciting school year, supported by their community.
