New Echota Celebrates Girl Scouts Loves State Parks Day

New Echota-Cherokee Capital State Historic will be hosting Girl Scouts Loves State Parks Day on Saturday, September 13th, 2025. This event will take place all day with special tours at 10a.m. and 1p.m. with the Cherokee Phoenix Print shop open from 10 AM- 2:30 PM.

This event is an annual statewide effort to celebrate the long history between the Girl Scouts of America and the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites. Girl Scouts coming to the site will enjoy a day of history and adventure with a chance to learn more about the Cherokee history and the Trail of Tears. Self-guided tours are also available throughout the day with Rangers on site to answer questions.
