A domestic disturbance led to the arrest of a woman for providing false identification after law enforcement responded to a call late Thursday night. At approximately 11:24 PM on October 24, officers were dispatched to 340 Allen Street, where they encountered three females engaged in a heated argument.

Grant Minton’s wish to become a state trooper for a day was granted by the Georgia Department of Public Safety. He received his own Georgia State Patrol uniform and spent the day with troopers, law enforcement, and emergency management staff in Floyd County. Activities included a felony stop simulation, a helicopter ride, and a scripted car chase. Minton was also given an honorary trooper award and visited the state capitol, including the governor’s office. Yesterday, October 28th, marked the fifteenth day of Early Voting for the upcoming Presidential Election on November 5th, and Georgia is witnessing unprecedented turnout. A thirty-nine-year-old Summerville man was arrested last week after he was accused of coming inside a store on Second Avenue in Summerville and pulling his pants down. The store clerk locked herself in the bathroom until police arrived. When police got to the scene, the man was standing outside the store in the parking lot. Police verified the store clerk’s account of the event from surveillance cameras. Arlonzo Johnson was arrested and taken to the Chattooga County Jail on charges of public indecency.
