MRS. NONA L. HOLBROOKS, age 96, of Kelly Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at her residence.
Master Charles Anthony “Charlie” Thrasher, infant son of Brian Douglas Thrasher and Jamie Katherine Hitchcock Thrasher, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital following a sudden illness.
Mr. William Austell Bell, age 83, of Lyerly, GA, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.
MS. DIANNE L. BURGE, age 72, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018, evening in a Rome hospital. She was born in Trion, Georgia on December 6, 1945, a daughter of the late Rev. Frank B. Lewis and Lyndell S. Lewis. Ms. Burge was a retired nurse.
Surviving are sisters, Linda Gail Wagoner of Statesville, N.C. and Alma Lewis of Summerville; aunt, Norma Perry of Rossville; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Peppers officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon until 2 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Mr. John Wesley “JW” Drennan, Jr., age 85 of Trion, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Drennan was born in Rossville, Georgia on May 25, 1932, son of the late John Wesley Drennan and Jewel Warren Drennan. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War, was a member of the Church Of God Northside in Trion, the Trion Masonic Lodge and the Chattooga County Democratic Association, and served one term on the Trion City Council. Mr. Drennan was employed as a machinist at Inland Paper Company in Rome, and following his retirement, was the President of the International Brotherhood of Machinist and Aerospace Workers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Drennan was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Rogers and a brother, Marvin Drennan.
Mr. Drennan is survived by his wife, June Drennan; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Tina Drennan; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and J.C. Henderson; four grandchildren, Stacy Henderson, Heath Drennan, Chasity Barnes and Jason Barnes; seven great grandchildren, Andrew Henderson, Autumn Henderson, Destinee Drennan, Jackson Drennan, Chance Cranfield, Cage Cranfield and Lexi Barnes; one great grandson, Dawson Greever; a special friend, Frank Victory and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Drennan will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. James Cox and Rev. Phillip Dietz officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Heath Drennan, Chance Cranfield, Cage Cranfield, Andrew Henderson, Jackson Drennan, Andy Pilgrim and Shannon Tucker. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Trion Masonic Lodge and the Staff of Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Drennan will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
