Mrs. Nina Ruth Bryan, age 48, of Trion, GA, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Bryan was born October 20, 1965, in LaFayette, GA, the daughter of Nina Mae Timmons Tapp and the late Eddie Lee Tapp. She was a homemaker. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Ray Tapp; and a sister, Doris Elaine Shelton.
Mrs. Bryan is survived by her husband, Karl Bryan; sons, Karl G. Bryan, Jr., Joshua Bryan, and Timothy Bryan; a daughter, Nina Markham; mother, Nina Tapp; brothers, Roger Tapp, Troy Tapp, and Larry Tapp; sisters, Myra Collins, Rita Treadaway, Tammy Moses, and Cynthia Carter.
Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Bryan will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, from the Johnson Cemetery with Rev. Billy Wright officiating.
Mrs. Bryan will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.

Mr. W. A. Hutchins, age 90, of Summerville, GA, passed away Monday May 5, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Hutchins was born September 19, 1923, he was owner and operator of the Hutchins Farm, a member of the Beersheba Presbyterian Church, and preceded in death by his wife of 62 years the late Sarah Harper Hutchins, granddaughter, Sara Jane Hunter.
Survivors include his children, Mike Hutchins, Ann Hutchins, Mary Firsdon, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Thornhill Marks, age 96, of Summerville, GA died Monday, May 5, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Marks was born July 29, 1917 in Bridgeton, NJ, the daughter of the late Mark Thornhill and Mildred Brosius . She has lived in Chattooga County since 1945. She was retired from Marks Auto. Mrs. Marks was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Trion. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John HarryMarks.
Mrs. Marks is survived by her husband, James Harry Marks; children, Paul Thornhill Marks, and wife, Susan Mathis Marks, James Whipple Marks, and partner, Nicholas Apostol; Nancy Marion Crawford, and husband, Charles Marion Crawford; grandchildren, Peter Marion Crawford, and Harry Marion Crawford.

Mr. Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Rainey, age 66, of Summerville, GA died Saturday,
May 3, 2014, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Rainey was born September 21, 1947, in Chattanooga, TN, the son of the late Robert William Rainey and Margaret Womac Rainey White. He was employed with Wal-Mart of Trion. He was formerly employed with Worldwide Volvo and Mt . Vernon Mills. Mr. Rainey was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-mother, Barbara Rainey; a step-father, James White; and a brother, James E. White, III. Kenny was loved by all who knew him.
Mr. Rainey is survived by his wife, Susan Gail Rainey; daughter, Sharon Rainey; sons, Clint Rainey and Steve Rainey; brother, Richard Lee White; sister, Lisa Marie Burgess; grandchildren, Justus Rainey, Jordan Rainey, Randall Rainey, Robert Rainey, Ricky Rainey, Ryan Rainey, Annabelle Rainey, and Austin Keen; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Lee Cemetery in McDonald , TN. Pallbearers will be Randall Rainey, Robert, Rainey, Ricky Rainey, Ryan Rainey, Austin Keen, and Shannon Keen.
Mr. Rainey will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

Mr. Cecil Wigley, age 70 of Lyerly, GA died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Preceded in death are his parents, Walter and Daisy Wigley, two brothers, Odell Smith and James Wigley, and one sister, Florene Murphy.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Wigley of Lyerly, son, Steven Joe Wigley of Lyerly, brothers, Floyd Smith of Eton, and Londell (Phyllis) Wigley of Resaca, sisters, Pauline Wilbanks of Murphreesboro, TN and Blondell Williamson of Ider, AL, special friends, Kathy and Jimmy Mann of Lyerly and Caddy Calloway of Gaylesville, AL.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 04, 2014 at 2PM from Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Burial will follow in New Canaan Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 10AM to 2PM.

Mr. Slayton was born August 25, 1947 in Gaylesville, AL, the son of Audrey Lee Slayton Haggard and the late James Clyde Slayton. He was a member of Old Way Baptist Church. Mr. Slayton was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Haggard; uncles and brothers, Bobby Slayton, W. J. Slayton, Raymond Slayton, Charlie D. Slayton, Earl Slayton, and Leon Slayton.
Survivors include his wife, Callie Marie Hunter Slayton; son, Harold Thomas “Tommy” Slayton; daughter, Tammy M. Slayton Barr Shafer, and husband, Stanley R. Shafer; Brothers, Ray Haggard and Mickey Haggard; sisters, Darlene Haggard Rieger, Lynn Haggard Nelson, and Amy Haggard Whitlock; grandchildren, Brandi Barr, Tyler Barr, Lacey Barr, Brittany Slayton, Dylan Bryson, Cody Slayton, Kelby Slayton, and Callie C. Slayton; great-grandchildren, Zoey Slayton, and very soon, Ryleigh Slayton and Cason.

Mr. Ricky Glenn Canada, age 58, of Summerville, GA died Tuesday, April 29 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Canada was born June 10, 1955 in Trion, GA, the son of Maggie Lee Pearsey Canada, and the late Auburn Lee Canada. Mr. Canada was formerly employed with Mohawk Industries. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Canada coached recreational sports for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Trish” Canada; daughter and son-in-law, Heather Canada Smith and Scotty Smith; mother, Maggie Lee Canada; sisters, and husband, Diane and Paul Reynolds, Nancy Burkhead; brothers and wives, Gary and Janeen Hartline Canada, Timothy and Karen Canada, Jerry and Karen Jennings Canada; grandchildren, Taylor and Jacob Hutchins, Gabriel and Aidan McGuire, Braxton and Gracyn Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at Lyerly Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Berry officiating. Active pallbearers will be Michael Reynolds, Craig Canada, William Burkhead, Kyle Canada, Patrick Canada, Chad Leeper, Travis Leeper, and Whitaker Fordham. Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of Mohawk Industries. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Lyerly Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. on Friday.
